Outfit of the Day #13

Hello, Gorgeous

I still like to look put together on my off days. Today's outfit is
relaxed && comfortable, yet casually glamorous. After all, it takes just
as much time to put on a hoodie as it does a fabulous sweater :)
Here's the one from my february favorites:

Items Pictured (Linked where available)
1. Crop Sweater: Windsor, Size: S $26.90
2. White Cami: Windsor, Size: S $9.90

Items Pictured (Linked Where Available)
1. Black leggings: Windsor, Size: S/M
2. Boots: Stuart Weitzman, Size: 9
3. Bow Clutch: Kate Spade, Bloomingdale's, $155.00
4. Rose bracelet: TJ Maxx, $25
5. Sunglasses: Gucci, Gift for 21st birthday

Fishtail braids are one of my favorite things to do when I'm short on time or I have 2nd/3rd day hair (I'm really trying to not wash it every day && stop using heat on it- this is a great way to look nice even when you know it's not).

The 'casual glamour' look is one of my favorites and probably
the way I'd most define my style. I like being comfortable while
looking chic without needing to spend more than
20 minutes to get ready.

This is probably one of the only crop tops you'll see me in!
I won't walk around with my midriff exposed, so the tank/sweater
combination was the perfect way for me to wear the trend without
showing off too much skin! You can still wear these kinds of
tops to school if you pair them with something underneath.
This sweater was the perfect option because the tank underneath
doesn't detract from the style of the top.

I was really excited when Windsor asked me if I wanted anything from their site
because their clothes are modern but classy, tasteful yet inexpensive. As you
know, I rarely (..if ever..) work with companies for my Outfit of the Day videos.
I would never wear something I disliked, let alone would I EVER be caught dead
in a picture or on the internet in something I didn't LOVE

Style is a part of my soul- mine can't be changed or purchased

I've turned down 99% of the clothes offered to me because they were
either poor quality, distasteful (in style and website), or just not 'me'
These posts and videos are meant to be just my outfits/style, but
I've gotten so many comments and messages saying that my style inspires you-
I'm really happy that I can show you how to wear modern trends
without having to spend a lot of money. So that's why I was most interested
when this company contacted me. They work with very few youtube
girls, which was a plus for me- If I ever work with a company, I want
them to like ME- not my advertising space. Also, their store isn't solely
online! You can go to a mall and look at it yourself!

Okay, I know I didn't need to get into all that detail- but sometimes I feel like it's
better to tell you more than to leave you guessing.

Oh and a funny story about this sweater- so I wore it WAY too
much in february (this was the one I showed in my favs video).
My sister, Gina, saw it on me so much that she bought one for herself too.
Last week I went to meet up with her and we were both wearing
the EXACT same outfit- sweater, white tank, leggings,
boots, cross-body black bag. COMPLETELY. THE. SAME.
OHhhhh what a moment.

My Spring Obsession

Hello, Gorgeous

I've been tweeting consistently about my new obsession this spring- it's time to finally show you! I'm loving a return to all things feminine, girly && innocent- styled in completely new ways. My new favorite happens to be one of my very first favorites- lace bobby socks, and oxford shoes :) So here's some grown up versions to help you release your inner little girl:

Items Pictured (Linked where available)
1. Lace Oxford, Modcloth, $129
2. Floral Oxford, Steve Madden, $69
3. Pink Oxford, Steve Madden, $55
4. Lace socks, American Apparel, $9

Items Pictured (linked where available)
1.  Black && White oxford, Nordstroms, $68
2. Black && White oxford, Urban Outfitters, $48
3. Black lace socks, Urban Outfitters, $8

Items Pictured (linked where available)
1. Glitter Oxford, Miu Miu, Barney's, $595

Needless to say, I'm obsessed with this combination. Either oxfords and a pair of opaque black tights, or lace bobby socks/knee high socks- this is one of my new favorite fashion obsessions. I'm ready to release my inner seven year old and bring back the overly feminine styles :) I purchased two of the pairs shown above- can you guess which ones?

How to wear oxfords? Depends on the time of day, they would look great either with opaque black tights, or a different type of sock. I personally want to pair them with a cap sleeve white dress shirt, a black loose bow tie, a pair of high waisted shorts and opaque tights. But they are great staple pieces that will look chic and modern as you transition from drab to fab in the springtime!

March Haul && Review

Items Shown (linked where available)
1. One shoulder tank, Free People, $98, Size: Small
2. Drop Pendant necklace, Target, $19.99
3. Ripped Lace Jeans, Rock && Republic, Hautelook, $80, Size: 26
4. Striped cardigan, French Connection United Kingdom, Gift, Size: Small

1. Falsies Mascara, Maybelline, Target, $5.00

I recently re-purchased Maybelline's 'the falsies' mascara. I originally tried the formula in waterproof (accidentally) when it first debuted and hated it! It was clumpy, messy, && did nothing for my lashes- except I really did like the brush and how it worked on the lower lashes. After everyone convincing me to give it another go, I did- and here are the results. I'll show a picture of my eye with 2 coats of the mascara, as well as a picture of my bare eye next to the eye with product so you can see what it does for yourself...

That's after curling my lashes and applying 2 coats of mascara. It doesn't beat my favorite (Lancome l'oscillation) but it is DEFINITELY worth trying and MUCH better than I had thought! And it definitely beats the price of my more expensive mascara. I'm happily admitting defeat :) I would buy the mascara alone for the brush for the lower lashes- the trick is to twirl the brush so the rounded side faces down on the lower lashes, but the opposite for the top ones.

time for my favorite- comfy clothes!

Items shown (linked where available)
1. Cubs shirt, Victoria's Secret, $26, Size: Small
2. Sox shirt, Victoria's Secret, $26, Size: Small
3. Twisted heart flowered hoodie: $112, Size: Small
4. Swarovski covered bra, Victoria's Secret, $250 Size: 34B

The baseball t's fit true to size, but if you're looking for a more casual sports-y fit I would go a size up. The bra didn't come in many sizes (34B,C and D.. boo!) I normally wear a 32B bra and in Victoria's Secret I normally wear a 32C (they always try to make you feel better..) so the 34 is definitely looser around me but I couldn't refuse. Even if I just stare at it every day- it's worth it. (..I have problems..)

Items shown:
1. Sheer Blonde 'go blonder' Shampoo, John Frieda, Target, $6

I thought this product was a newer formula because of the different packaging- and I ALWAYS try all the 'blonde' shampoos from each company! I was so excited until I realized that it was the same shampoo as before haha- but that's okay because I LOVED the old formula! This was my go-to shampoo my junior year of college, especially my favorite in the spring- what a good time to reuse it! I've heard some negative reviews on the formula, but I've personally never had a problem with it. It's never really 'lightened' my hair all that much, but I like the smell and what it does for my hair. I thought I'd include the old picture in case you were mistaken like me.

Items not pictured:
Sox hoodie (Not available online) Size small, $40
Hautelook shoes, size 9, $80
Cord pendant, target, $14.99
White bandeau, target, $14.99

I'm banning myself from shopping for the rest of the month. Must repeat over and over again:
